nutribullet green juice

Ingredients option 1: 5 stalks of freshly washed pak choi chopped, 2 stalks of freshly washed callaloo without the stalks chopped, 1 stalk of freshly washed celery, 1/2 of a freshly washed medium sized cucumber chopped, 3 organic freshly washed lime/lemon, 1 cup of cold purified water or until the fill line, 1 teaspoon of ginger (optional)

Ingredients option 2: 10 leaves of freshly washed spinach chopped, 2 stalks of freshly washed kale chopped, 2 stalks of freshly washed celery, 1/2 of a freshly washed medium sized cucumber chopped, 3 organic freshly washed lime/lemon, 1, 1/2 cup of cold purified water or until the fill line, 1 teaspoon of ginger (optional)

Ingredients option 3: 2 freshly washed and peeled medium sized beetroots chopped, 2 freshly washed carrots chopped, 2 stalks of freshly washed celery, 1/2 of a freshly washed medium sized cucumber chopped, 3 organic freshly washed lime/lemon, 1, 1/2 cup of cold purified water or until the fill line, 1 teaspoon of ginger (optional)

Ingredients option 4: 3 stalks of freshly washed celery, 1 freshly washed medium sized cucumber chopped, 3 organic freshly washed lime/lemon, 1, 1/2 cup of cold purified water or until the fill line, 1 teaspoon of ginger (optional)

To prepare, combine the freshly and thoroughly washed vegetables in the nutrient extractor container add the water until it reaches the fill line, tightly close and place on the base of the nutrient extractor and then blend. For the juicer do one ingredient at a time. After that squeeze in the lemon or limes and possibly add the ginger and there you have it. Please note: that I use cold water because when you blend at such high speeds it heats up the food sometimes essentially cooking it so starting off at a cooler temperature allows the ingrediensts to remain as raw as possible and close to room temperature and ready to drink.

I usually have green juicy drinks as my healthy start from Monday to Friday and then one of the other options for the weekend. After having one of the healthy starts, I usually have a light breakfast then a hearty lunch and dinner. I am very careful to avoid refined and processed carbohydrates such as rice, flour, added sugar, pasta etc. and food high in unhealthy fats such as fried foods; especially those fried with oil that has a low smoke point. I find it hard to go back to eating how I was before starting this journey towards health. I am not perfect by any means but when I go back to eating what I know I shouldn’t, I hate how my body feels and it quickly motivates me to get back on track.

Leave me a comment down below letting me know what you think. Are you going to try any of these healthy starts? I would really love to hear  if any of you are already doing one of these healthy start options. If so, how often do you do it and what ingredients do you use?  If you just want to leave me some positivity, click the heart down below. Kindly share this post with everyone, especially someone who may need it and keep the conversation going. Thanks again for stopping by, until next time Fam, walk good.
